Which printing style fits your budget and your personal style?  We'll go into depth below with examples of printing styles and estimated print times & costs for each.

Letterpress

Letterpress printing uses a plate to press a design onto paper, using solid colored, matte inks.  A separate plate is necessary for each color selected.  A large variety of card stocks can be used with this method, including our standard weight (118# cotton) and heavyweight (236# card stock). Letterpress Printing can be combined with both Digital and Foil printing.

Digital Printing

Digital printing is a popular and affordable printing option, which creates a smooth, flat finish on top of the paper. There is no indentation with this method.  We can print digitally on a wide range of papers with this method.  Digital Printing can be combined with both Letterpress and Foil printing.

Foiling

Foil printing can be done in a few ways.  Ours uses the process of laying a foil sheet on paper, which is then pressed with a metal plate.  This leaves a slight impression. The same as letterpress, a wide range of papers can be used with this method, including our standard weight (120# card stock) and heavyweight (236# card stock), as well as cotton paper, if you’d prefer a deckled edge treatment. Foil Printing can be combined with both Digital and Letterpress printing.

White Ink

White ink printing is the preferred method to get art and text added to darker card stock papers.  This is also digital printing method, but without your standard ink colors - only white.  It will also leave a smooth, flat finish on top of the paper.

Thermography

Thermography uses a stamp and clear ink to place a design onto your paper.  A powder is then added, and it adheres to the ink only.  The remaining design is heated, creating a raised version of your artwork.  This is a popular lux addition instead of the in-laid foil printing option.

Engraving

Our laser engraver can etch a variety of creative mediums, like wood, acrylic, leather, or more. Due to the thickness of the materials used for engraving, additional postage is always required when adding these options.  You can choose to engrave small invitation accents like monogram tags, or go big, and engrave the entire invitation card.  We can also use the engraver to laser cut paper for more ornate invitation jackets.
